Tour is cancelled!

Dear promoters and friends of TEPHRA!

After our singer Ercüment recovered from his health problems and we were about to hit the road again next week, he had a serious collapse last Saturday that took him immediately into hospital. Treatment started right away and is still going on.

Due to the severe diagnosis by the doctors, he is not allowed to go on tour until the treatments end successfully. We are optimistic that he will recover, but it will take some time! Health is top priority and we hope for your sympathy! We`ll keep you in the loop with news.

we have some great news. In about three weeks we will have our Demo to be released on 12″. The record features a remastered demo plus a brandnew track from the “Tempel” session.
It is one-sided and will be silks-screened on the B-side. Silk-screeened covers. 180gr vinyl. Shit rules!

below is the statement of our singer Ercüment:

Freunde, Fans und Veranstalter von TEPHRA,

leider hab ich heute keine guten Nachrichten.
Am Montag wurde bei mir ein Magengeschwür diagnostiziert. Die nun anstehenden Behandlungen beanspruchen meine ganze Kraft, so dass ich / wir die geplante Tour Ende Februar, Anfang März zu unserem Bedauern nicht spielen können.

Wir hatten uns wie immer sehr darauf gefreut, Euch die neuen Songs vom „Tempel“ Album live zu präsentieren. Doch gegen manche Dinge im Leben kann man einfach nichts tun bzw. sie vorher sehen. Auf jeden Fall werde ich jetzt alles daran setzen wieder auf die Beine zu kommen, damit wir Euch bei unseren Gigs ab August, mit anschließender Europa Tour im Herbst, in gewohnter Stärke „wegblasen“ können.

Tephra dankt Euch allen für die bisherige Unterstützung und wir freuen uns auf einen „lauten“ Herbst .

On 18th February 2011 our new and third record emtitled “Tempel”will be released on CD/ LP/ DIgitlal via Golden Antenna Records.
Eight brandnew songs clocking in with 48 minutes of experimental rock. We have has chipped away from the sludgy doom-metal, broke barriers and replaced our heavy breakdowns with sophisticated riffs taking us a leap forward. This is by far our most technically diverse, dynamic and complex album.

We will start sharing this record on 17th December – week by week “Golden Antenna Records” will put one more song online, so you can stream the full record two weeks prior to the release. Aint that sweet? A tour is in the works! Stay tuned.

In the meantime, we have our brandnew split 7″ with Omega Massif available for sale. Either write us directly or try the Golden Antenna Store!

Dear friends,

we are really sorry for the lack of updates. But the waiting has come to an end and we can offer you some news.

Next month a split 7“ with our friends OMEGA MASSIF will be released on „Cyclone Empire Records“. It is part of a series entitled „Imperial anthems“ Our song is called „Helioz“. Check that out!

And finally, bigtime news concerning our new, third record. It will be recorded in the first two weeks of September – again at „Die Tonmeisterei“ with our dudes Role & Henner. It will probably be released in February 2011. Right in time for a tour that is planned in February 2011.

For upcoming shows, you should check our MySpace website. We have one coming up in November at the „Doom Nights Festival“ in Stuttgart along Omega Massif, Golden Gorilla and other fine bands.
